HELP International, Inc. presently has mission bases in Europe, Asia and in the USA. We are sharing our lives in communities, go to the streets to evangelize, serve people in need (mercy ministries), set up rehab centers as well as houses where we take in street kids, establish shelters where people can stay overnight and do international outreaches. 10 months, 3 nations, millions of people

There are millions of people literally waiting »in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed« and to preach the Gospel message to them in power, which means through signs, miracles, healings, etc. That's the reason why we have started the REVIVAL SCHOOL on the Move! We are kicking off with a training sequence in Lüdenscheid, where you join the FCJG family and get to know our DNA; through teaching we are laying spiritual foundation to build on, and you have the opportunity to immediately activate what you learnt in everyday's community life as well as during street and prayer outreaches.
Following this you are going to two foreign nations - three months each - where you become part of the international HELP family, share your life with those in our international communities and where you demonstrate alongside with our teams the power of God in word and deed. REVIVAL SCHOOL on the Move

The spark of missions was ignited when FCJG Lüdenscheid did its first outreaches. In the beginning, everything was quite structured: We sent a team to Barcelona (Spain), some went to Vienna (Austria), and at some point we went to the Philippines. Outreaches didn't exceed three to four weeks and after that everybody went happily back to Lüdenscheid. However, was that it? »We need people who are going long-term to the mission field and build something«, said Detmar Scheunemann, a missionary who spent many years together with his family in Indonesia where we worked with WEC International. Well, sending out teams long-term? When the late Mark Buntain (Calcutta Mercy Ministries) came to Lüdenscheid to speak in the Asia Conference in 1989 and on this occasion passed on the torch of world missions to FCJG Lüdenscheid, we were standing in awe and didn't quite know what to do with it ... One year prior to this historic event we sent out a team to Vienna ...



Christian leaders from various denominations in Austria called and asked us, »Please come to Vienna and help us!« They faced a huge drug problem and had heard about the wonderful work at House Wiedenhof. In 1988, we sent out our first long-term team to missions - to Vienna. In 1991, we sent a pioneer team to the Philippines, followed by another one to Thailand ... and so forth. When God called to Mongolia in 1992 and we were not only facing a national revival but also great need in this land, we felt compelled to not only send missionaries, however, we also saw the need for establishing a stable structure to oversee and support our international ministries. This was the hour of birth of HELP International ...

Walter Heidenreich

HELP International, Inc. was founded in 1994 and is a branch of the FCJG Dachverband, Inc. (Free Christian Youth Community - roof organization) in Lüdenscheid. HELP's commission is to expand existing ministries in the nations, to pioneer new ministries and to mentor and coach leaders and staff. Founder and visionary of HELP International, Inc. is Walter Heidenreich, today's president of both HELP International, Inc. and FCJG Lüdenscheid. The present ministries that have been established in Europe, Asia as well as in the USA can be traced back to his initiative and vision for peoples and nations. Through regularly visiting the teams in the nations, international conferences and seminars with him as speaker with the purpose to exhort the body of Christ in the nations as well as his teachings and inputs at internal HELP conferences - foremost by speaking to the leaders - have not only impacted HELP's development but catapulted the ministry into a visionary dimension. An international leadership is presently rising up that carries and furthers the mutual vision, aims and HELP's ministries - mentored and adviced by Walter Heidenreich.

Investment & Commission

The name HELP stands for Humanitarian aid, Evangelism, Leadership training and Pioneer ministries. According to these, HELP invests into the following: training of long-term as well as new leaders, pioneering and establishing new ministry branches in the nations - foremost in Asia, humanitarian aid in areas and situations of calamity, mercy ministries, evangelisam, organization of international conferences and seminars. The emphasis of mercy ministries is drug rehablitiation, ministries among street kids and youth as well as ministering to inmates and homeless people. Some of those who formerly sought and received help, have become staff and some have taken on the leadership of ministry branches.
Furthermore, HELP is overseeing administration regarding its international branches. Through seminars, training units and conferences we are aiming to reach young people for missions and to prepare them for short-term outreaches (up to four weeks).



It is possible to go with HELP for some weeks and even months to the nations. In cooperatoin with the REVIVAL SCHOOL on the Move (a mobile DTS and training program), participants are going through a training (approx. three to four months) at the Lüdenscheid home base followed by going on outreach into one or two of HELP's international ministry branches.

Missionaries who want to go long-term to missions with HELP International, Inc. have to attend the training program of the REVIVAL SCHOOL and live for a considerable time in the FCJG community in Lüdenscheid.

Development

Since the start of HELP International, Inc. we have sent out approx. 100 long-term missionaries to Asia, Europ and the USA and could win many local co-workers. We are serving people of all walks of life - however, especially the poor, needy and street kids. All of these people groups experience healing - physically, mentally and emotionally - and we stand with them when re-enter into normal society sturctures.

Facts

Part of HELP's ministries is first aid in calamity situations. Since the foundation of HELP International, Inc., approx. 564 tons of relief goods have been sent to and distributed in areas of calamity. Furthermore, we have given financial and practical help, e.g. to Mongolia, Turkey (after severe earthquakes), former Yugoslavia, to Afghanistan and other nations.
Through conferences and seminars we have reached approx. 15,000 participants of whom more than 1,300 have taken part in short-term outreaches.

We are on all levels an international community displaying a wonderful diversity in life, gifts and callings. However, we are unified by a mutual vision: To make known the name of Jesus throughout the earth, to proclaim the kingdom of God in power and demonstrate it everywhere. Our vision is based on some pillars which are the common foundation of anything we are doing and who we are.

Sharing our lives & Discipleship

Our biblical example are the first Christians in the books of Acts. We are living together in big and small communities. Western and local missionaries are sharing their lives. All of us have one thing in common: The desire to live a lifestyle of love, humility, transparency, forgiveness and servanthood in dedication to God and to one another. And we are having open houses and hearts to peple of all walks of life and nationality. We are family in the first place and not workers; we are an organism and not primarily an organization. We are a movement; and we are aiming to disciple people, to lead them into spiritual maturity, to train them to take responsibility and to demonstrate the kingdom of God in all areas of society.

Worship & Prayer

Prophetic worship and prayers that are inspired by the Holy Spirit bring heaven to earth. The kingdom of God is visibly spreaking in power here on earth. God has given us authority to rule and reign with him in the Spirit through worship and prayer. Thus regions, cities, districts, situations, families and individuals can be transformed. We see this happening over and over again!

Training of leaders

We believe in people, love to invest into them and want to see them released to live in God's dimenion of life ... not by human methods but by his ways. What is impossible with man is only possible by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised to baptize us with this power. We are commissioned to equip people who are living with us with the Holy Spirit and his power, that they become bold witnesses of Jesus by walking in God's opportunities. Through that the kingdom of God, his love and power will become visible throughout the nations! Mainly this is happening by discipleship training, biblical teaching, excercising the gifts of the Spirit and through evangelisam; to acknowledge who I am in Jesus and most of all who Jesus is for me. We are not striving for theory and teaching methods but to live in relationship to Jesus and to experience the dimension of God's kingdom day-to-day.

Evangelism

What happened at the cross of Calvary is the linchpin of human history and the most wonderful news of all times: Jesus carried all sin and suffering of this world and opened the door to eternal life! He commissioned his disciples to take the Gospel unto the ends of this earth. We are so grateful that we have been part of a mission movement for more than 20 years, taking God's love in word and deed into presently seven nations ... no matter if to young or old, to Asians or Westeners, to the rich or the poor, to students or the homeless. God wants to encounter people through us, and therefore we are followwing hs commission and do what he has told us to do. In our international communities we are training people to immediatly do what they have learnt. Thus drug addicts, street kids and people in need get practical help. God is not far but he comes very close and we can experience him! He heals, saves and sets us free!

Mercy ministries & Relief aid

When it came to the point that thousands needed to be fed, Jesus said to his disciples: »You give them something to eat.« Then he took the bread, gave thanks and broke it ... and they were not running out any time. Jesus has called us to break the bread to the hungry, to give a home to those who are homeless, to heal the sick, to weep with the mourning and to rejoice with those who are full of joy. One thing the nations we are working in don't lack is poverty; and we are aware of the fact that we cannot help everybody ... but we can help one after the other. By giving out bread, rice, clothes, something to dring, medicine, with every hug, prayer and comfort we are serving people who are literally broken-hearted and in terrible condition. The love of Jesus has reached us, and through us it reaches people who are stricken in deep needs.
In areas who are suffering from catastrophies, we are more than willing to go beyond the normal in order to take life-saving measures and distribute relief goods, e.g. when Turkey experienced a series of earthquakes, when Thailand and the Philippines were hit by the devastating tsunamis, when Albania, former Yugoslavia and Mongolia were suffering famine.

Pioneer ministries - establishing new things

Besides everything we are already doing, we are always looking for options to expand and multiply our ministries. Our vision is not limited to the ministries and nations we are presently active in. We don't want to get stuck and be satisfied with what we have. »Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide ...« There is so much more we can do - and we want to follow up on these. We enlarge present ministries and extend communities ... and there are still so many nations we want to go into. There is a wide land before us that we want to take and in which we want to build new things.
