The Gospel Must Be Preached! In the last four years, we have been consistently preaching the good news to the prisoners. Every week our team comes to visit them, brings them a hot meal and gives them medicine every month. But beyond the physical needs that we're trying to provide, we see to it that we share the hope of Jesus Christ to them. On a weekly basis we have a Worship Service in the jail. There are four cells in this facility so we do visit each one of them.

In the last four years of consistency visiting them, we have built relationships with them and have won their hearts for Jesus. Every week they are excited for the worship times, if you will join us, I'm sure you will know what I mean. Worship has shifted the atmosphere of this jail facility!

Justice

»For I, the Lord, love justice, I hate robbery and wrongdoing.« Isaiah 61:8

If you look around the world you can see the injustices that are everywhere. Injustices have been normalized in some parts of the world. And that is exactly what is happening in the Philippines. Here in the Philippines we have the worst prison and detention centers. Both the living conditions and the state of the justice system. In the prison I go to every week, we encounter exactly these situations.

An example is this young man we just helped get out of prison. His actual sentence was only 10 days, but because of the delayed system, this man stayed for almost two months.
Thank God someone came up to me and asked me to pursue his case and get the court approval he needs to get his release. This young man has no family member to help him and that is why his papers are stuck. The irony of this situation is that this document only costs 60 pesos (1 euro).

Imagine he stayed almost 2 months because no one could get him that 1 euro document. What happened is that we were able to get that document and he was released from prison. His case is just one of many. We can't help everyone, but we'll start with one person at a time. Our mission is to preach the gospel to the prisoners and also to give tangible help to them .Even if they committed a crime, Jesus died for them too.

In the last two months, we have helped for the release of five prisoners by helping them to get this document. Helping people never gets out of style!

Dreams do come true

Free from Captivity!

»To proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners!« Isaiah 61:1

Our dream as a prison ministry is to see these brothers and sisters be released and become disciples of Jesus. It has been HAPPENING! Last year, we helped Lisa be released from prison and then she decided to come to Set Free Center to make a fresh start of a life with Jesus. On the day of her release, we picked her up in the jail facility and brought her home to Set Free Center. Now she has finished her recovery program and is now enjoying a life of freedom in Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for her that she may take hold of the new life she has now.
Another amazing testimony is that in the middle of this year. Three more brothers from the prison came to Set Free Center. As they have heard and experienced the love of the Father in the prison. They made a decision to go for it.

It really encourages us as a team to see the harvest coming. It has been our prayer that we can disciple them after they are released from prison. And it's happening now! HALLELUJAH!!!
