HELP International

Jesus was always with the people. He served them, healed them, brought the love of God to them - in the power of the Holy Spirit. That's what it's all about! What the people need is a personal encounter with Jesus and he wants to use you and me to this end.

"Gateway to the East"

As "Gateway to the East" Vienna holds international and political meaning. Vienna is multicultural. This is the opportunity to make Jesus known among the nations. So we regularly hold outreaches in Vienna, Austria and Eastern Europe.

Where the need is greatest

In social hotspots we show people with alcoholism, drug addiction and other needs the way out of hopelessness into freedom and a new life. We share what we have experienced with God and preach the gospel - whether with an amplifier or in personal dialogue, with praise or with a creative mime act. Often we get to see people getting drawn to us when we worship Jesus with songs. They feel the peace and love God.

You are welcome to come and go to the streets with us - whether you are a person or a team. You can also live here with us together with your evangelistic team or your youth group for some days. Just contact us!

You've crashed your life into a wall? You're coming out of drug, video game or other addictions? With God there are no hopeless cases. We believe and experience that Jesus works miracles. He heals body, soul and spirit, frees of addictions and gives new lives. Because we have experienced this ourselves, we offer here in our house family a good place to become healthy and free.

Living with us

Living together with us, an obligatory day's schedule and a family-like setting will help you.
Part of that are common meals and leisure activities as well as our daily meetings in the prayer house. Here you experience God's fatherly love for you and receive practice-oriented teaching.

The goal

But first of all we want to lead you into maturity and responsibility, into a personal relationship to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Therefore we don't just teach Christian values, but work them out together by means of the bible and most of all seek to live by them.

Practically

Together with us you will help taking care of our home, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and supporting with manual work. Besides the practical skills you will learn to deal with conflicts, to work in a team, but also to take responsibility.

Personal support

We regularly have group and individual talks where we look for root causes of different problems and point to practical solutions. You will be accompanied and supported through all this individually.

Continually

»They were continually and faithfully devoting themselves to the instruction of the apostles, and to fellowship, to eating meals together and to prayers.« Acts 2:42

We spend a lot of time in the house of prayer. The Holy Spirit surprises us again and again and leads us to the heart of God the Father. Moved by His love, it is then easy to pray for people and the trouble spots of the world - or simply to quietly enjoy His presence, which is better than anything else in the world.

Seminars

We are from time to time hosting seminars, conferences, workshops to learn about the things of the Kingdom of God. Credited and anointed men and women of God minister to us with apostolic-prophetic insights and teachings, e.g. Walter Heidenreich, Richard Aidoo, Maria Prean. You are always welcome to attend such events at the IHOP. Please find dates on our event site.

Discipleship Training

Teaching - or expressed more modern: training - is elementary in every area of life. Topics include forgiveness, the Holy Spirit as a person, the gifts of the Spirit, the Father heart of God, hearing God's voice, being born again, how to bring the Gospel to my friends. What identifies us, is communal life. It pervades all branches of our ministry.

Everyone under one roof

Practically speaking, it means we all live under one roof – staff, young disciples of Jesus and people looking for help. We‘re from different backgrounds, generations and nations. We eat together, do practical work, have fellowship and spend time with Jesus – we share our lives. Whereby weekly structures can differ a lot depending on people’s points of focus.

Daily Business & Heart

Of course all of this extends beyond the practical aspect. We don‘t just share our day to day business with each other, but also our hearts – we share about what is moving us and live in honest, authentic relationships with one another. That is extraordinary and supremely valuable.
