Jesus' »Great Commission« as we can read it in above verses, seems to be an old-fashioned statement in our days. There are books, conferences, seminars and events on all kinds of topics, however, hardly ever these concentrate on missions. In addition we are impacted by some very old ideas and images regarding missions. It seems to be a very challenging topic, too, for it shows what stuff your are made of. »Perhaps God is sending me in the end to some nation I never wanted to go to?« No, THIS has definitely nothing to do with missions. Jesus didn't give us his commission that it becomes a burden, rather he gave it to us to enjoy it. Love and passion for Jesus are his one desire, for: »God wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.« 1 Timothy 2:4 (NIV)
»Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation ... Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.«
Vision for MissionBecause of that you are warmly invited to Vision for Mission. We endeavour to focus anew on the »Great Commission«, want to allow the Holy Spirit to touch us in order to find out which role we are playing in his commission. This seminar is ›living mission‹, for FCJG/HELP International has been in the nations for decades already. Our speakers are amongst others present and former missionaries as well as the students of our REVIVAL SCHOOL that are getting ready to go to the mission field longterm, and together with them we host this weekend and do workshops on specific topics like nations, culture, outreaches, etc.
Whom is ›Vision for Mission‹ for?Basically, these weekends are open to anyone who wants to know more about missions or take first steps onto the mission field. Such a step could be one of the Outreaches 2018, and if you want to join these, participation in one of the »Vision for Mission« weekends is mandatory - you may choose between the two. Furthermore, we are recommending these weekends to anyone who wants to do a short-term outreach with HELP in the nations ...
DatesEach weekend starts on Friday night and closes on Sunday after the brunch at the REVIVAL SCHOOL. ›The other Worship Service‹ (Saturday nights from 8:00 PM at the Wiedenhof) is a vital part of the »Vision for Mission« weekends:
»Vision for Mission« I: March 16 - 18, 2018 (amongst others with Tom Wüthrich from Mongolia)
»Vision for Mission« II: April 13 - 15, 2018
This is waiting for you
FellowshipWe want to get to know you, however, we also want you to get some insight into our lives. We are happy to answer questions and want to give you an idea of how we live together and what ›sharing lives‹ means to us.
Prayer & WorshipPrayer crosses all boundaries and worship unlocks the heavens. One cannot be separated from the other ... and therefore we are taking extensive times of worship - especially Saturday nights in the other Worship Service. We pray for the nations, pray for one another, worship Jesus and receive what God is speaking to us and the deep works of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Spiritual inputs & TeachingGod's view of missions and his commission are the foundation for everything we are doing, and the bible is full of this. Experienced leaders and staff as well as HELP International's missionaries speak about God's commission to each of us and share personal experience and insights.
WorkshopsSaturday afternoons we want to do workshops in which we inform about specifics and culture of certain nations and where we explain what outreaches look like in HELP International.
