Who We Are - The History |

The 'Free Christian Youth Community (FCJG) was founded during the 'Jesus People Movement' in the 70's and has become an interdenominational mission movement. Our roots are community life in big and small communities as well as the call to minister to the poor and needy in various ways. For this purpose we began to send mission teams into different nations.
 In 1988 the first team was sent to Vienna, and in 1991 another one to Manila. We soon realized that the mission branches abroad need a central base in Germany. Thus, HELP International, the world mission branch of FCJG was founded in 1992.
The foundation is in charge of member care and administration of the mission teams abroad. On the other hand, it is a response to Jesus request, 'ask the Lord of the harvest therefore, to send workers into the harvest field'. It does so by providing and transporting relief goods, organizing mission conferences, equipping, training and commissioning short and long-term missionaries, founding of new mission branches and the like.
Right from the beginning, we followed God's call into the nations to face misery and hopeless situations and to meet the various needs through social-missionary ministries.
