About
City Mission - Father' s House
City Mission - Father' s House is a branch of HELP International Philippines emphasizing evangelism, homes for neglected and orphaned children and teenagers, help for mothers and streetgirls in need, services and school sponsorships. We are living together as a German-Philippino community in Manila and are recognized by the government for our work and ministry.
Our first aim is to pass on the redeeming and renewing power of the love of God, that we have experienced in our own lives, to poor and needy people.
We are not supported by any governmental benefits and depend on donations in order to run and maintain our ministries.
Our ministries
Evangelism
It is estimated that there are approx. 60,000 street children in Metro Manila, who alone or in gangs battle their way through life and don' t attend school.
Often they are run-away kids, because they weren' t welcome at home, or their parents can not provide for them or they were born on the street, because their parents, too, are street children. It is difficult and hard to break through this vicious circle of poverty, rejection and indiscipline. We regularly go to the highways and byways, where they hang out and get high on glue to offer them friendship and something to eat.
At the same time we share about the love of their heavenly father, who has planned another life for them than what they experience and we pray for them.
Kids Church
We gather the children of the city with songs, games and biblical stories to celebrate worship services with them. Afterwards there is always a warm meal offered.
Father' s House
Right now we give 25 children and young people at the age of 5 to 25 a home who have no family which can take care of them. All kids suffer either from abuse, neglect, abandonment or are orphaned and have literally nobody anymore. They all need tremendous emotional healing. We live as staff together with the kids and share our life with them. Together we are the Father' House Community.
School of God
We help our young people to get to know God better and we train them to apply what they learned to their daily life, to find and use their callings and gifts. |
