| A Nation being transformed |
The Beginning
In summer '92, we stepped into this nation with its only 2, 8 million citizens for the first time. Many had never heard the name of Jesus before. Teir openness for a God who loves, heals and forgives was beyond anything.
'Get Ready' was born: 1.000 people from various nations evangelized Mongolia for two years. They went throughout the land, 400 cities were reached and about 30.000 people received Jesus as their Savior. Missionaries came from other countries, too. Many of them brought humanitarian aid and planted churches. We were able to lead public crusades - the birth of Christianity in Mongolia.
Our Call
When 'Get Ready' was finished in 1997, we knew that God's history with us in this nation wasn't over yet. Many co-workers decided to stay. Ministries among prisoners, street children, the poor, homeless people and alcoholics developed, besides training and church work. Today, our ministry consists of 13 Western and about 60 Mongolian staff. Three churches and more than 25 house groups have been established. Teams are reaching out to the needy and the lost on a daily basis. Mongols who were just recently seeking help themselves, are now preaching and serving with the love of God. |
